I took one look at property tax history and discovered that she had b ... een overpaying taxes for several years. I successfully argued that she should be refunded $5,278 (plus interest). I also reduced her current tax bill from $3,248 to $738. With the tax refund, she had more than enough to pay the $738, plus the accumulated interest of $88. The best part of all, her future tax bill will now be closer to the $738 than the prior over $3,000+ figure.
