While suffering from delusions as a result of his mental illness, Mr. Dorce believed that God was blessing him with the ability to fly, had chosen him to become an angel, the King of Israel, and a holy ... prophet. While in the throws of his psychosis, Mr. Dorce came to believe his mother was the antichrist and shot her 15 times, killing her. After 9 days in trial, the Superior Court of Cobb County found Mr. Dorce not guilty by reason of insanity.
