I hired Pam for a child custody/support case in 1994 and have used her as my attorney to this very day as new issues arise. From my very first meeting with Pam, she has been straight forward, honest and fair (to both parties). When going through a custody case it is easy to let your personal feel...ings about the other party cloud your judgment, but Pam ALWAYS has the best interest of my child at heart and has firmly reminded me on many occassions that I need to focus on what is best for my child, his future happiness and well being. As far as the child support issue, Pam covered every base imaginable (once again with my childs best interests being her main concern) and has fought to make sure I receive what I need to raise my son from infancy through college. Pam has always been there to answer my questions (no matter how trivial they are) in a timely manner. More often than not, I am able to talk to her personally on the day that I call and if not she always returns my calls within 24 hours. Custody and support litigation is very expensive and legal expenses pile up quickly and Pam has always gone out of her way to make sure payment to her did not cause me financial hardship. Pamela Wistrand came highly recommended from employees of the Genesee County Friend of the Court. This attorney keeps no communication with her clients that she charges unjustified charges to. Does not even show up in person for court hearings that she is being paid to attend. She charges her slients... when she reshedules hearings despite the fact that they were for her own personal reasons. I guess since you have to pay her for everything in advance she figures she can just do what she wants since she already has your money. She and her secretery only return phone calls if you call at least 4 or 5 times over the course of 1-2 weeks, and then she speaks to you like she doesn't have time for you. Worst experience with an attorney ever!
