WARNING! USE with caution!

Worst possible lawyer you could have for divorce and custody. I should legally be able to sue this guy. He legitimately did NOTHINGduring a 1.7yr long divorce trial.. Fired him at trial. Completely & utterly useless. Didn't do a SINGLE thing the guy said he'd do,. He legitimately lost me everything ...in my life and all rights to my child and charged me like 14 grand. My wife was able to rob me for about 350k and I wound up homeless and starving. This guy is a bum LLawyer.Im telling you not to use him. Cost me everything that was dear to me in my life, over legitimately nothing but a basic fa ricated lie as well.

Excellent divorce attorney

Alan is a great divorce attorney. I have referred many many divorce clients to him over the years, and he is highly recommended.

Neglectful & Unethical

Alan cooper would come to court unprepared and not even have or review my file, another time he yelled at me in front of my ex-husband and referee because I was trying to remind him of what to say because he couldn't remember and he said, "Don't you ever f------ interrupt me again" Mr. Cooper got si...ck of dealing with the drama of my divorce, which was difficult, he began snapping at me, hanging up on me-the final straw came when I had to go to arbitration and he told me he didn't need to be there and all I needed to do is bring a list of our belongings and split them, I went to arbitration alone and my ex showed up with his attorney and a 30 page report of items we never owned. In short, I got full custody of my kids (because of the PPO I filed, not because of Cooper) and lost everything in a 5,000 sft house, lost my house, and had to pay my ex $5,000 and my ex's legal fees - which Cooper had slid into the divorce finalization papers last minute- I say last minute because we were supposed to have a trial at 9am and Cooper showed up 5 min before lunch, made a deal and pressured me to sign it. You might think this is not a big deal but my ex had sold 3 cars in the divorce, turned off my phone and I had lost my business- causing me to go on welfare and without heat. Mr. Cooper simply told me at the end- its no big deal, you'll get back on your feet. He made me feel neglected, abused and frustrated-80% of the time. Cooper is only interested in high money easy divorces where he can take all the money-and run over the backs of the broken on his way out. In contrast- I later went back and hired another attorney and they were able to stop my ex from taking me to court and order a psych exam which he had failed- the judges knew this attorney and his father and they were very well respected- they treated me like I was a person that mattered- going to court 1 time with the new attorney- was more effective than 100 times with Cooper

I appreciate your comments. However, I am surprised with their inaccuracy since your case ended over 2 ½ years ago. Contrary to what you stated, we were successful in obtaining a higher child support amount, higher spousal support amount, and limited your husband’s parenting time to be supervised at an agency. None of this was due to the PPO, and was obtained even without a psych exam. The home was lost due to the fact that it was significantly underwater and the mortgage was not paid. I had addressed the issue regarding the vehicles, however, you indicated that it became a non-issue because your parents bought you a new car. In addition, we had your husband pay a substantial portion of your attorney fees. You also thanked me profusely at court that day. We discussed the personal property Arbitration, and you stated that you would attend the Arbitration on your own, since you believed you could handle it on your own and did not want to run up additional fees. Unfortunately, it appeared that the Arbitrator did not think that you were very truthful and issued an adverse award as a result. Your comments are also misleading as you also subsequently retained me after your divorce to do additional work on your request to move the children out of State. I regret you having bad feelings now, so long after your case has ended 2 ½ years ago, and given the positive results that were achieved for you. However, I wish you the best of luck.

Excellant job Alan, Thank you

Alan scheduled an initial interview right away with me and gathered the necessary information to start the divorce process, which he did so promptly. He was articulate and to the point in our conversations and he accepted all of my phone calls or returned them that day. His support team was very kno...wledgeable as well, and helpful. He was key to driving the timing, were as my previous experience was I had to stay on top of things and drive it.
