Supreme court ruled in favor of Mrs Borman to collect her homeowners claims after a fire when State Farm denied her benefits and claimed her grandson started the fire
Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Mr & Mrs Smith were entitled to a Judgment against their insurer and the insurer could not use their low economic status as a basis to allege arson
Court of Appeals held that the Insurer must pay 12% penalty interest under the UTPA when it failed to pay for damage to Griswold's office tower within 60 days of receiving proof of loss, whether or not the claim may have been reasonably in dispute
Court of Appeals ruled that State Farm must pay contractor overhead and profit to the homeowner when paying the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of property damage whether or not a contractor has been hired to perform the repairs.
