Kevin William Kevelighan

Hired Kevin to save our home from foreclosure. He took a $2,000 retainer and did no work. Failed to show up for 2 court dates. Our home was foreclosed on. Filed complaint w/Attorney Grievance Committee that took 3 years. Complaint and supporting documentation were forwarded to Attorney Discipline... Committee which suspended his license for 180 days. He was ordered to repay us $1,000 as a stipulation to getting his license reinstated. He paid on day 179.

Mr. Kevilighan promised to help save my house from foreclosure but managed instead to lose it, which he didn't tell me about. So, I ended up being served with eviction papers and had just a few days to pack up, find a new place to live, and move. His performance on my case was totally incompetent....

Hired him during my divorce when I was dead broke, guy disappeared. I started legal proceedings with a real bankruptcy lawyer and he agreed to pay me back. One check for 100 bucks is all I got when he owes me 1200 (not including what he got from my ex!)! Unprofessional, told me he was going through h...ard times trying to gain my sympathy when he was running with my money and my ex's cash (really my money again). Wrote it up as a loss, I'm sure he'll get his by his own deeds.
