Christopher M. Mann is a member of Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, health care, automotive, estate planning and tax.
Mr. Mann regularly assists individual and corporate clients with the creation and structuring of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, and has guided clients through a variety of business planning issues, including mergers, acquisitions, liquidations, general financial issues, corporate governance, purchases and sales of company interests and corporate succession planning.
In the health care area, Mr. Mann works with health care professionals and practices in a variety of areas, including the formation, merger, and sale of medical practices, shareholder agreements, Stark Law and other regulatory compliance, employment contracts, and corporate governance matters. He also frequently lectures to physicians completing their residencies and fellowships on issues pertaining to them as they transition into practice.
Mr. Mann works closely with clients to create estate plans that maximize the tax efficient transfer of wealth to successive generations of family members. In doing so, Mr. Mann is regularly involved in the creation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, business succession planning, lifetime giving agreements, financial and health care powers of attorney, family partnerships, and charitable trusts.
In the area of tax planning, Mr. Mann provides counsel and advice to corporations and shareholders, individuals, fiduciaries and beneficiaries on a variety of tax matters, including tax planning and compliance, and assists them with the preparation of tax returns for trusts, charitable foundations, and individuals.
Mr. Mann earned his J.D. from Wayne State University in 2004 and his B.A. in general business administration from Michigan State University in 2000. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and Association for Corporate Growth, where he serves on its Board of Directors. He is also heavily involved with the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, serving on both the Partners Executive Committee and the Planned Giving Advisory Committee, as well as Detroit Public Television, where he is the Chairperson of the Planned Giving Advisory Council.
