Worst attorney ever. Before the trial, he assured me it would be an easy win (DV case). He even advised against a jury trial, saying a bench trial would be faster and in my favor—he was wrong. When it came time for court, he was completely unprepared. He misgendered me repeatedly, didn’t subpoena any... witnesses on my behalf, and gave up just two minutes into cross-examination. He also advised me not to testify, likely because he didn’t prepare me to do so. It was glaringly obvious he didn’t take my case seriously, and as a result, I was given a guilty verdict. Despite providing him with a mountain of evidence, he used none of it. After the trial, he had the nerve to tell me that, in hindsight, maybe I should’ve testified. This guy is a joke and, in my opinion, shouldn’t represent anyone, especially Black or Brown folks. Save your money and hire a serious attorney. Also, when I was initially searching for an attorney, I reached out to someone named Anthony via text. Matt Dupree responded, claiming to be Anthony. He goes by multiple names online, so be aware.
