This attorney has a big heart, and could be outstanding, but she has a lot of personal short comings that spill over into her abilities as legal counsel. She is not a good listener. She doesn't manage her time well, and is often overwhelmed unnecessarily. This causes her to miss things. Her interpers...onal skills are lacking, and it makes her unlikeable by her cohorts. This is a terrible disadvantage for a litigator. If she polishes her people skills and learns tact and finesse, she would be unbeatable! She won a case for me but lost the proceeds because she failed to put the proper protections in place even after we predicted the other side's actions. In other instances, she didn't present evidence with a logical and linear manner. She seemed overworked, disheveled and piece milled with her arguments. Often she would wild hair in her own direction against the wishes of the client. Her ego gets in the way, and my case became her personal fight to my detriment. She fought the judge, the other side and me. She doesn't have a discernment for the dynamics of the changing circumstances in the courtroom. She isn't sensitive to what the judge is asking or needing to hear. She just randomly guns her points and spits out law none stop without being present or flexible to shifting circumstances within the proceedings. She is not very fast on her feet. I think this is because she is overworked. She would be sharper if she took breaks, ate healthy and got more rest. Big firms are able to wear her down with their influx of extra bodies and over-paid pencil pushers. They steam roll her because of her "know it all" personality and not because they are right. They simply sit back and let her hang herself. She doesn't listen to anyone but her partner" Jerry." All of this significantly stunts her growth and ability to adequately service her clients and grow her practice to something lucrative and rewarding. She has many clients who sing her praises. I see their points. She wants to win, and she wants to see justice, but her style is reckless. I pray the very best for Vanessa Fluker, but she doesn't know that she needs improvement, and that is dangerous when a client has everything at stake like I did. I ultimately lost everything and have since rebuilt it all. But many opportunities were lost that my attorney just didn't see or know what to do with. I endured unnecessary hardship, and I know it wasn't her intention, but it still cost me. BIG TIME.
