Hello, I had a problem with child support. My ex-wife requested to increase the amount I was paying her. Instead of calculating the support based on what I was actually making, FOC instead went back three years, which included years where I was working a different job and making a lot more mon...ey. If that was bad enough, FOC was still making me pay support for my 18 year old daughter even though she will not ever graduate high school. Apparently, the ex-wife was devious enough to acquire a letter from the school so vague the FOC interpreted that my daughter would graduate, eventually, and so wanted me to pay till she was 19 and a half. This resulted in me paying more for two kids than others I know who are making more money than me! Since my daughter is disabled and will attend school till she is 26, this complicated matters due to what is “intended” by the law. I sat in his office a few times and listened as he instructed me on the law and how it affected my case. There was no rushing me out the door. We sat and talked nearly two hours one time, researching similar cases. And what he didn’t know, he soon found out and let me know too. He was responsive to my calls and emails. He kept me updated and bounced ideas off me, frequently, to see how I would like to proceed with things. In court, he was prompt and professional. And his rates are very reasonable.
