Audrey R. Monaghan

I attempted to engage the services of Ms. Monaghan. Following our initial free phone consultation, she accepted a large retainer fee prior to providing the contract. When I received the contract, I realized she had misrepresented its content. I requested she alter the language to reflect what she had... represented during our consultation. Following 2-3 weeks of mostly unanswered communications striving to reach a meeting of the minds and being in need of an attorney, I requested a refund. She finally responded by attempting to retain a portion of the fee as per the written agreement that remained unsigned. I was forced to dispute the entire charge with my financial institution. She fought it and lost. Then, she charged me for one hour of work and the 3% credit card fee for accepting the retainer and returning it. When the financial institution signaled it was about to decide in my favor, she created a receipt claiming the charge was for a one hour phone call which never took place and would have been more than her normal fee. The evidence I provided was sufficient to resolve the second dispute in my favor. I spoke to other attorneys during the vetting process to engage their services. They all conducted the initial consultation in a more professional manner requesting very specific information necessary to assess the situation and preparing them to begin managing the matter immediately. Ms. Monaghan's approach was very unstructured and she made herself wholly unavailable once she had received her fee. I was quite disappointed with Ms. Monaghan's misrepresentation of her contract, lack of response to communications, unethical behavior when her services weren't engaged, and the time wasted thwarting her attempts to keep money she hadn't earn.

Audrey was fabulous. I gave her my summons two days before the response was due and she quickly prepared a very professional and thorough response and filed it timely. She was compassionate and understanding. She worked out a settlement and got my attorneys fees paid for which was more than I expecte...d. I would highly recommend hiring her.

Mrs Monaghan was conscientious and committed to myself in the legal situation she represented me in. She has always, and I believe will continue to make herself available to people she represents day-and-night. She conducts herself with the utmost integrity and is one of the most moral and ethical... people I have ever met, which is a rarity in this day and age. It has been my great pleasure and blessing to have found such a wonderful attorney. I would highly recommend her to any family, friend, colleague or any person I knew.

Ms Monaghan truly exhibits her commitment to her practice by her sincere and honest approach to he clients. We did not know where to turn and we're fearful of getting an attorney who just treated us just another case. She met with us late at night on a Saturday and immediately eased our fears! While ...she was willing to interrupt her weekend, she helped release our fears so we could enjoy the remainder of our weekend. On Monday, she filed the necessary document to protect our family. We highly recommend her to anyone.
