Melisa Beth Platte

MeLisa's primary areas of practice include: litigation; family law; estate and business planning; wills, trusts and estates; corporate law; real estate law; construction law; and commercial law.  She is admitted to practice in State courts of Michigan and Eastern Federal District Courts.  She holds Institute of Continued Legal Education Certificates in Estate Planning and Family Law and has been trained by the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan to practice Collaborative Divorce. She is also a member of the Delta Theta Phi International Law Fraternity. MeLisa's education includes: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, during which time she was a guest student at the University of San Diego School of Law and completed the Institute on International and Comparative Law in Paris, France and the Institute on International and Comparative Law in Barcelona, Spain; She also attended Monash University in Melbourn, Australia and University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.  MeLisa is currently completing her Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing at Walsh College and has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications from Michigan State University.
