Robert S. Menders

I’ve met with Robert Menders twice, he was courteous, prompt, direct, respectful, and knowledgeable. He gave me suggestions and options on how I could proceed with my case. He suggested that I could handle the letter writing myself and save money or he explained I could hire him to do that, speaking ...clearly that would be a larger cost. He provided a name of a specialist to pursue to assist me with a non legal challenge. He gave me two free consultations. As I move forward, I feel comfortable in using his services.

I would recommend Mr. Menders to anyone with a domestic case. He has been an absolute Angel through-out my case. He kept me 100% informed at all times. Even though he doesn't return your calls ASAP he makes sure your always in tune on what is going on. His secretary now is sweet and helps wheneve...r Mr. Menders is busy or in court. She will have your questions answered if she is unsure within reasonable time as well. They are a great duo!! Mr. Menders works around the clock and if you have a problem he even lets you call his personal cell if you need anything, which most attorneys could care less once they leave their office, they are off the clock.. not Robert! He helped me get everything I asked for in my divorce and then some. He works and gets all of your paperwork done in great timing, and works with you on your payments if you're having a "rough spot" he doesn't just throw you to the wolves! I appreciate everything he has done for me and I know if I need anything in the future I will be going straight to him. Highly Recommended!!!

Mr. Menders did not do a complete discovery after multiple times he was asked to. Mr. Menders insured me this is right and I was naïve to believe him. When they say mom knows best they are right because my mom told me to fire him because I was doing all his work for him and he was not listening to ...me. I wished I would have listened because this divorce cost me over $40,000 plus the assets that would have been uncovered. Be careful as to Mr. Menders does not carry malpractice insurance. This below is what the judge had to say during court after Mr. Menders referred me to another attorney after he took more of my money. The other attorney did the discoveries of the hidden assets that Mr. Menders assured me did not exist. THE COURT:Once a g a i n , t h e. T h e o t h e r i s s u e t h a t w a s r a i s e d was t h e f a i l u r e to d i s c l o s e the a l l e g e d p u r c h a s e o f the snowmobile by t h e P l a i n t i f f in December of 2021 pursuant to t h i s r e c e i p t t h a t was found. In addition, we have another issue added today which is - - t h e y ' r e in the pleadings s u b s e q u e n t t o d i s c o v e r y - - t h a t t h e F i r s t Merchants bank account in the name of the P l a i n t i f f , there was s i g n i f i c a n t w i t h d r a w a l s . There was n o t a p p r o p r i a t e d i s c l o s u r e s to t h e Defendant or to D e f e n d a n t ' s a t t o r n e y o f t h e funds i n t h o s e First Merchants accounts and where it was going. There should be a 0 star rating. Stay away from this lawyer! Menders is loud, obnoxious, and pompous. He is completely unprofessional and disrespectful, not to mention his work ethic is horrendous. He prides himself on being deliberate and thorough, it is anything but. His work is so sloppy, that wh...en I confronted him on his many mistakes, he raised his voice to me, slammed his hands on his desk and threatened to increase his lawyer fees on my bill! He also threatened to withdraw my complaint and said I could find a new lawyer to start all over with. Internally I was furious, but bit my tongue. He needs to retire ASAP!
