Do not hire!

I hired John to take care of my divorce. And he did the divorce is finalized in December 2021 however a QDRO was filed which entitled me to a lump sum of money. He told me it would take approximately four months. It has now been 18 months I’ve missed out on House Rentals for my daughter and. Currentl...y living with a friend and taking my daughter to my parents house on weekends. Because I don’t have the money to put a deposit down on a house or furnish it because of him. Every excuse in the book is all I’ve gotten.

Worst ever

Worst attorney ever DO NOT USE he will be there answer all your calls and then you give him the money and poof he disappears. It took him almost 4 months to start do anything to file one motion. We hired him to help with visitation and he lost days for us.He has no office he meets you in a empty office... doesn't have a computer he makes you do all the work get your own evidence.I called for months begging for my money back before he did anything he claimed he didn't get any texts or emails even though it showed he read them. Would call private and he'd answer and it was next week next week I was sick next week.He is lazy disrespectful and won't reply. He should of given us a refund but he didn't get my messages even though he always got all my other ones. I went to court and he let the attorney tear me apart and attack me make false claims and he did nothing wouldn't submit proof of my exes new wife assaulted our daughter we had 100 proof of when we got our daughter for the last 2 years and he still lost our days absolutely ridiculous. Hire at your own risk he gives you a good price if it's to good to be true it probably is to good to be true. Worst attorney ever he will make you do all the work and refuses to get any evidence for you. I wouldn't trust him for a parking ticket now for free you better pray if you need custody or god forbid need help with child support because you better start saving your child support will probably double or if you are trying to get it you will get the minimum if any. And if you are facing jail time for back child support pack your bags Good luck

Exceptionally long settlement

I have been divorced for 10 years. The actual divorce went smoothly. Unfortunately, the settlement has been another issue altogether. I am still waiting for my ex-husbands pension and 401K to be distributed. I have been trying to get an update on the situation for the last 4 months, but he keeps giv...ing me excuses and telling me he will get back to me. For the last 3 months he has been totally ignoring my emails. For the past 10 years I have been making all the initial contacts, otherwise I would probably never have heard from him. I have even filed a grievance against him with the MI Bar Association. They investigated, but apparently there is nothing the Bar can do about an inept attorney.

Excellent and reasonable

He knows the law, as well as the nuts and bolts of how things work in the real world. He returned calls promptly and kept me informed. I got my share of the retirement benefits and a reasonable amount of alimony for some years. I am very pleased by Mr. Rinn's legal representation in the divorce.
