Biography
As the head of my firm's appellate division, my practice focuses primarily on writing briefs for submission to all levels of state and federal courts, arguing cases in all levels of state and federal courts of appeals, performing research for all areas of law handled by the firm, and keeping up-to-date with state and federal judicial decisions that can affect clients of the firm. I have successfully represented parties in the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals. Although my practice focuses primarily on municipal law and police cases, I also enjoy the challenge of tackling other areas of the law.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, where I majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology. In law school, I graduated in the top 2% of my class, receiving my Juris Doctor magna cum laude.
