Kassem Mohamad Dakhlallah

Kassem earned Super Lawyer honors for business litigation in 2014. He serves as a Wayne County Circuit Court Business Court mediator. He represents individuals and businesses in a diverse variety of business matters, including breach of contract, partnership dissolution, receivership, employment issues, shareholder disputes, non-compete agreements and all other business related disputes.

Kassem handles serious injury cases. In 2014, Kassem obtained: 1. A $100,000 arbitration award for the 13 year old victim of burns suffered at a friend's bonfire; 2. A $150,000 settlement for a patron at a gym who suffered a concussion after a weight pulley hit him in the head; 3. A $180,000 settlement in a construction site accident. Kassem handles a diverse and unique set of injury cases and fights for his clients every step of the way.

Class action lawsuits are Kassem’s passion. From 2011 to 2013, Kassem was lead Plaintiff’s Class Counsel in a highly-publicized class action lawsuit against McDonald’s Corporation and one of its franchisees over the false advertisement of halal-compliant food products. Kassem settled the case on behalf of the certified class in a cy pres settlement that funded two Detroit-area charities. Kassem has also successfully defended corporate clients against class action lawsuits.

Kassem represents employers and employees in a variety of litigation matters. For example, he has represented plaintiffs and defendants in unpaid overtime lawsuits. On the employee’s side, he has obtained payment for his clients in every case. On the employer’s side, his clients have never paid a penny in settlements or verdicts. Kassem has also successfully litigated Whistleblower Protect Act cases on the plaintiff’s and defendant’s side. He has undone and enforced non-competition agreements.
