Amanda M. Ghannam

Amanda Ghannam has devoted her entire legal career to employment discrimination and civil rights. That singular focus means her clients — whether individuals facing workplace injustice or attorneys seeking a trusted co-counsel — benefit from a depth of knowledge that general practitioners simply can't match.

Over the course of her career, Amanda has secured jury verdicts in federal court, won a landmark preliminary injunction prohibiting police officers from injuring protesters, been affirmed by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and negotiated countless settlements for clients who were wrongfully terminated, discriminated against, harassed, or retaliated against at work. She is a certified mediator and has handled matters at every stage of litigation, from initial investigation through trial and appeal.

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor with a specialization in Labor, Work, and Income from Northeastern University School of Law. She spent seven years at leading Michigan employment and civil rights firms, including two years as a managing partner, before founding AMG Legal PLLC. She serves as a Cooperating Attorney to the ACLU of Michigan and Of Counsel to Nova Legal Group PLLC, and was appointed to the City of Dearborn's Board of Ethics in 2026.

Her work has been recognized by peers and institutions across the legal community. She is a four-time Thomson Reuters SuperLawyers Rising Star (2023–2026), a recipient of the Detroit Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, and a 2024 honoree of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan's Honorable Kirsten Frank Kelly Award. She was named to the Arab America Foundation's 2024 "40 Under 40" list and is a graduate of the Michigan Association for Justice’s Leadership Academy.
