My primary occupation is as a professor, teaching students to practice law by actually practicing it with them in a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts in Michigan. From time to time I take matters privately across a wide range of issues. Often these are distinct pieces of litigation, real estate transactions, or providing expert opinions in several different substantive areas. My rates vary depending on the person's ability to pay. Ocassionally I will barter, particularly in the construction fields.
