I worked with Xuemeng Fitch for my I-485 adjustment of status. My I-131 application got denied in a month, which was quite unexpected. I went through reviews people wrote for Ellis Porter Law Firm and Chen Immigration Law Associates, checked existing Whatsapp group chats, Reddit, etc. Never saw anyo...ne get rejected for I-131. Those forms are extremely simple and do not even require a lawyer to fill them out correctly. There were multiple mistakes in my form completed and reviewed by Xuemeng Fitch and Tommy Steinhilber.
I am extremely unsatisfied with Xuemeng Fitch. She was not accurate, was not responsible or helpful, she was not transparent, and more importantly she caused me a great deal of stress in addition to delaying the processing of my AP application. She is the reason that I had to do my medical exam twice, which is very expensive to do.
She is not honest and transparent. When she emailed me regarding the rejection of my AP application, she said “we received a rejected package from USCIS this morning concerning your AP application. I reviewed it and believed the rejection is in error.” She thought I would not review the rejection notice myself, that’s why she lied about what exactly happened. When I reviewed the rejection notice and confronted her and told her that according to the rejection notice, there were multiple problems with my application, she had no choice but to admit. She used pages from multiple edition dates of the same form and there was also a missing page in my application. USCIS also opened my sealed medical exam and returned it to Xuemeng’s office after rejecting the application. When I told her that I demand to be reimbursed for the medical exam fee, she said it’s USCIS’s problem, they shouldn’t have opened and returned your medical exam envelope. She is not reasonable and cannot take responsibility for her mistake. USCIS wouldn’t need to return the medical exam if the AP application was prepared correctly, but she couldn’t admit this.
When I told her that I need the returned medical exam envelope in case it helps me do the second medical exam cheaper she said their staff shreds opened medical exams upon receipt for privacy reasons, so they don't have my medical exam anymore. I ended up paying another $385 to redo my medical exam. I couldn’t go to the first doctor that conducted my medical exam as I was not living in the same city anymore and getting a flight ticket to go back to my old doctor would be even more expensive than doing the second medical exam with a new doctor. Beyond unhappy and unsatisfied with Xuemeng Fitch and Tommy Steinhilber.
