Stephen Charles Johnston

Stephen C. Johnston is a founder and partner at Signature Legal, PLLC.  Stephen and his partner founded Signature Legal, PLLC with the idea that a client’s satisfaction should at all times being the motivating factor in their legal work.  After working for both a firm focused on Estate Planning and a Probate focused law firm, Stephen brings that experience and more to Signature Legal.

Stephen focuses his practice on estate planning, probate litigation and administration, Trust litigation and administration, and landlord/tenant disputes.  He is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning sections of the State Bar and a member of the Wayne County Probate Bar Assoication.  He enjoys working in the area of Probate and Estate Planning for the benefits and comfort it can provide to his clients. Through honest and open communication, Stephen focuses on building a strong attorney-client relationship and working hard to satisfy the wishes of all of his clients during what can be a troubling time.

Stephen obtained his law degree from Wayne State University Law School and his Bachelors of Science from Kalamazoo College.  Stephen is a lifetime metro detroit resident growing up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.  He remains active in his neighborhood and community, serving on the Brownfield Redevelopment Committee for the Ferndale City Counsel.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his pup (Sammi), golfing, playing softball, and keeping up with his fantasy sport teams.  He is reluctantly a passionate fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.
