Timothy D. Finegan

Timothy D. Finegan received his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1986 and his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law in 1990. While in law school, Mr. Finegan gained valuable experience as a full time law clerk at the 51st Judicial District Court and the 6th Judicial Circuit Court. He also completed internships with the Honorable Richard D. Kuhn, 6th Judicial District Court and the Washtenaw County Public Defenders Office.

Since his second year of law school, Timothy Finegan has focused on defense litigation. He was employed as a law clerk for Sullivan, Ward, Asher, and Patton P.C. and Patrick Johnson and King P.C. before joining Lacey & Jones P.L.L.C. in 1990, where he served as partner until May 1, 2007.

During his career, Timothy has specialized in Workers Compensation Defense, Insurance Defense, Premises Liability, No Fault and First Party Motor Vehicle Liability and Third Party Motor Vehicle Liability.

Timothy Finegan is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and in the U.S. Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. He is a Section member for Workers Compensation, Negligence and Litigation. Timothy is active in The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers, where he previously served as director.

Tim currently lives in Sterling Heights with his wife Jacquelene and 4 children. He is an active member of the St. Lawrence Parish where he coaches soccer and baseball. He is also the director of the school's ski club.
