Very happy with this attorney

My divorce was fairly simple (no children) and mutual. I was more interested in making sure I was treated fairly in the process, and did not expect a ugly divorce. Reisdorf was easy to deal with and knew what he was talking about. We had to deal with one of the more aggressive law firms that represen...t women very strongly. He had knowledge of the law firm and was able to make somewhat accurate predictions of what might happen. He also had knowledge of the Judge that had my divorce. He was able to help me prepare for the worse, but it never came to that. I'm happy with the outcome. I feel as though I was treated well and fairly. I was able to sit down with him and talk to him openly about what my best interest were. I would hire again.

Do NOT use him

I came to him for a consultation and he gave me bad vibes but I left a $500 deposit anyway. I moved out of Oakland County as did my soon to be ex, and I went to pay the rest of the $200 to file divorce. Mr Reisdorf was combative and condescending. He told me he didn’t want to deal with Wayne Count...y because the process would take too long. He charged me $200 (for no work done) and refunded me $300. What a waste of my time! Had he told me to file in Oakland County BEFORE moving, I would be divorced by now.

Very Willing to Help!

I was doing my own divorce. William offered a consultation, during which time he laid out the entire process for me. No one else would do this. He even offered additional limited consultation for a price, but was very forth right in explaining that at a certain point the consultation had to end an...d he would have to represent me. This was completely understood. In my case, it went well and I did not have to hire him to represent me, but the advice that he gave me was invaluable. I offered to pay him for what he had done for me, but he strenuously refused payment. Had I needed him, I would have hired him in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. He is not just doing it for the money.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Bill did a case for us about 12 years ago when my husband went for full costody of his 13 year old son. We had tried 2 different times with 2 different attornies but got no where. We hired Bill and ended up with full costody and she lost allot of her time. Then last year our 15 year old son came... to us telling us his ex girlfriend was pregnant. First phone call was to Bill way before the baby was even born to let us know our sons rights and that he would be filing for full custody after we get the results of the DNA test that the baby is his. Sure enough the baby was my sons so we started process within weeks after birth. We gathered allot of info for Bill about the mother and he knew just what to do with it. CPS was involved but did nothing so it was all in Bills hands. Bill told us this was his first minor that he had ever represented in a custody case but that didn't worry us because he did such a great job for us in the past. Bill went to work and looked up whatever he had to, to makesure he knew everything about minors and custody. Well it took about 9 months but the decision was finally made and Bill did it once again. Our son won FULL physical custody of his son. I highly recommend Bill if your looking for a great attorney

Extremely Happy

I have been a client of William Reisdorf for the past 3 and a half years. I have nothing but great things to say about him. His knowledge and experience is unsurpassed, especially if you are a divorced father in a legal world where the deck is already stacked against you. While I did not hire him ...for my initial divorce proceedings, as I handled those on my own without an attorney, I did retain him for a number of other issues after the fact concerning custody of my two children. He has so much experience in both Macomb and Oakland county (and probably other counties) and has been a tremendous help in my situation. With his assistance, I was able to get 50/50 physical custody of my two children (which is virtually unheard of). I was also able to get a SUBSTANTIAL reduction in my child support to reflect this. He will give it to you straight, set realistic expectations and not beat around the bush or build your hopes up with unachievable promises. His rates are very good in my opinion and for the money, there is no one better. I have recommended him to co-workers and even my own brother. If you are going through a divorce, or are seeking a change in custody / child support, I would definatly meet with him and see what he has to say. My experience has been nothing but favorable. The only thing I would say that needs a little work is response time. He can get overwhelmed and take some time to get back to you. He does not have a paralegal to my knowledge and I think he could benefit from one. All in all though, he is a fantastic lawyer, A+ all the way!
