Biography
Kennedy F. Simerau graduated magna cum laude from Oakland University in just three years, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, where she developed her courtroom skills as a member of the Mock Trial Team and built a strong foundation in litigation and trial advocacy. During law school, Kennedy worked with the Special Investigations Unit at Health Alliance Plan, assisting with internal investigations and case assessments involving fraud and abuse. She also completed Wayne Law’s Corporate Counsel Externship with Nexteer Automotive, where she collaborated with the company’s legal department on matters involving regulatory compliance, internal investigations, and risk management.
Before joining LEWIS & DICKSTEIN, P.L.L.C., Kennedy practiced at a full-service law firm, handling a broad range of criminal and family law matters. At LEWIS & DICKSTEIN, P.L.L.C., her practice now centers on defending clients in both state and federal courts. She has contributed to cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, including appellate and post-conviction proceedings. Kennedy is a fearless and aggressive advocate for her clients.
