Jared I. Matz

Jared Matz is a Michigan personal injury attorney and partner at Matz Injury Law, a family-led law firm based in Southfield, Michigan, serving clients throughout Metro Detroit, Oakland County, and across the state of Michigan. Jared represents individuals and families injured in car accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, and serious personal injury cases, with a strong focus on hands-on legal advocacy and client-centered representation.

Jared earned his Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2016 after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. Prior to attending law school, Jared built a strong business foundation working in real estate sales and development in Lansing. In 2007, he founded Adalta Corporation, a Michigan-based company focused on helping property owners challenge over-assessed property taxes, gaining extensive experience navigating complex regulatory systems and advocating for clients against institutional inequities.

While continuing to represent property owners, Jared returned to West Bloomfield to pursue his legal career and began working at what is now Matz Injury Law during law school. From the outset, he tailored his legal education specifically toward personal injury and accident litigation, preparing to represent injured clients and their families in high-stakes matters involving automobiles, motorcycles, and catastrophic injuries.

Jared primarily focuses on motor vehicle accident cases, including automobile and motorcycle crashes involving serious injuries and wrongful death. He has a particular commitment to representing children and families affected by traumatic accidents. His approach combines detailed legal knowledge with practical business insight, allowing him to evaluate cases strategically and pursue maximum compensation for his clients.

From a young age, he was introduced to the practice by his father, attorney Steven Matz, and developed a strong desire to help people who had been wronged through no fault of their own.
