Bart Paul O’Neill represented hospitals and physicians throughout much of his career, saturating him with a unique perspective that worked to his advantage when he made the decision to join Goodman Acker P.C. and represent patients, a move he describes as his most defining moment of his legal career. O’Neill’s experience with both plaintiffs and defendants allow him to examine every side of a situation when he handles complex medical malpractice and birth injury cases, making him an invaluable member of the team.
O’Neill earned his B.A. in Political Science with a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1998. He went on to complete his Juris Doctorate in 2001 at Wayne State University Law School. In addition to sharpening his craft, O’Neill has contributed to the legal community by giving various presentations at medical malpractice seminars, earning many accolades along the way, including selection as Michigan Lawyers Weekly “Rising Star”.
As an attorney, O’Neill approaches his clients by relating to them on a personal level, without all the legalese. He brings his real-life experience as a well-traveled person and a father to the courtroom, where his aggressive and no-nonsense nature serve him and his clients well.
Raised in Metro Detroit, O’Neill has lived all over the area, including Detroit City Proper and the northern, eastern, and central suburbs of Metro Detroit. In addition to his familiarity and history with the area, O’Neill is active in the Michigan State Bar as well as many charity events. As a father of four children, however, he also dedicates much of his time to them and their participation in Little League Baseball.
