I retained Arlene Woods on Feb 19, 2018 as a divorce attorney & I gave her $1,000 up front. She NEVER called me ANY communication was ME calling her. She LIED & told me that she filed my case & she was waiting on a court date. I discovered that on May 5, 2018 she filed paperwork but on May, 12, 2018 ...her check for the $175.00 filing fee was returned for NSF!! Every time I called to inquire about my case, she had an issue. She broke he foot & had surgery, she had adnoid surgery, & she would say she would return my call & NEVER would, I had to call her back & she NEVER had my file in front of her, so she could never keep me updated about the case. I discovered through my OWN research that her license was suspended & she NEVER filed my case & she had a rude, nasty disposition when I requested my $1,000 back that she keep for 7months WITHOUT filing for a divorce from me!! She communicated with me VIA text to inform me that she would leave my $1,000 with the receptionist at the front desk! She didn’t have enough RESPECT to verbally speak to me OR give me my money in person!! She is a LIAR & UNPROFESSIONAL!! Had I not researched my case on my own, to this day she was not gonna reach out to me to return my money OR to inform me that she was no longer a practicing attorney!!
