Andrew Roberts Mikos

Mr. Mikos is an outstanding attorney. While most litigators I've met appear to suffer from narcissistic personality disorder and the Dunder-Kruger effect, Mr. Mikos is intelligent, humble and trustworthy. He is also reasonably priced, and even told me I did not have to pay for a letter if it did not ...meet my standards. I had been dealing with a difficult health care provider (and her moron of an attorney) who became combative when a family member asked her to share medical files with me under HIPAA law. First they tried to frame our attempts to obtain access as "harassment", which is why I contacted Mr. Mikos, given his criminal defense expertise. He quickly shut that down in a letter to opposing counsel explaining our rights. Then they changed course and threatened to sue me for "defamation" if I did not withdraw a complaint I had made regarding HIPAA violations. Mr. Mikos also quickly shut that down in a letter telling them that their lawsuit had no merit and we would seek sanctions if they tried to file one. We have not heard from them since, and the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is now investigating this health care provider for multiple privacy violations and intimidation of a patient. Thanks to Mr. Mikos' letters, we were able to shut the bullies down and I have a trail of documentation that the OCR is now using as evidence in their investigation.
