Tim Cordes is a seasoned family law attorney with over fifteen years of experience and a reputation for approaching every case with the kind of tactical precision and genuine care required.

Tim brings over a decade of experience across family law, divorce, adoption, and probate administration. Tim's commitment to inclusive, equitable legal representation sets him apart in meaningful ways. He has been a tireless advocate for the LGBTQ community in Michigan throughout his career. In 2017 he was one of the founding members of the State Bar of Michigan's LGBTQ Law Section and served as its Chair in 2019, a section created specifically to address the legal needs of Michigan's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender citizens. He also served as President of the Stonewall Bar Association of Michigan from 2011 to 2014 and played a foundational role in establishing Michigan's first marriage equality group. His advocacy in this space is not peripheral to his legal practice. It is central to who he is as an attorney.

Tim has served in leadership roles across some of Michigan's most respected legal organizations, including the Oakland County Bar Association's Law-Related Education Committee, the Oakland County Bar Family Court Committee, the Oakland County Bar Association Professionalism Committee, and the State Bar of Michigan's Standing Committee on Technology.
