Christopher F. Gates

I hired Mr. Christopher Gates to represent me in front of the judge of the Oakland County Circuit Court of Michigan Family Division. Mr. Gates convinced me that he would zealously be my spokesperson and diligently present my case to the Judge to modify the parenting time schedule so that it would be... balanced, equitable and in the best interest of the child. Working with Mr. Gates was exasperating in that he never returned phone calls, failed to keep appointments and when I was called to come to his office because the paperwork was complete for signing it turned out that upon review it was often incomplete, inaccurate and had to be redone. I wasted my time making numerous trips to his office to simply proofread documents for accuracy. When it came time to appear before the judge did not follow courtroom protocol by presenting the Judge with a copy of the motion beforehand and his phone went off three times while standing at the podium pleading my case. The Judge denied all requests to modify parenting time because of Mr. Gates poor preparation, unprofessional presentation and his failure to follow proper court room protocol.
