State v. Savelle
N/AOUTCOME: Misdemeanor resolution, credit for time served, no probation
Client pulled a gun on two people and made threats to their lives. There were a number of legal defenses available: diminished capacity, self defense, lawful use of force. I was prepared to take this c ... ase to trial and move the court for attorney's fees for prevailing on self-defense. The State recognized this, and agreed to favorably resolve the case for my client in the interests of justice. Do not think that I get dirtbags off the hook scott-free. This client was innocent. He shouldn't have plead to anything, in my professional opinion.
