James Christopher Paprocki

Most people assume estate planning is only for the wealthy. A big part of my work is showing them that isn't true. At Shea Law, I help clients build plans that fit their goals, their finances, and their family, whether that means drafting trusts, wills, powers of attorney, or deeds. I want my clients to know their wishes will be carried out and that the people they love will be taken care of. Helping them make a meaningful impact on others' lives after they're gone is what I value most about this work.

I studied economics at Kalamazoo College, with a minor in political science, and graduated in 2018. I then earned my J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2021, where I focused on business and corporate law. During law school, I volunteered at a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance clinic, helping low-income and elderly residents file their taxes, and I served as a judicial intern in the chambers of Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.

I'm a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and I serve clients from our Southfield office. Away from work, I'm a former college basketball player who still loves playing and watching the game. I also enjoy music and spending time with family and friends.
