I ran for Wayne County Prosecutor in 2012 and in 2016, against the incumbent Kym Worthy. The first time, I garnered 12% of the vote (74,000 votes). The second time, I achieved 16% (105,700 votes).
I ran on a platform of: (1) Promote/facilitate Jury Nullification in all criminal prosecutions; (2) Terminate Wayne County's Civil Asset Forfeiture program, or at least cease pursuing such cases; (3) non-prosecution of "victimless crimes" i.e. consensual activities where the only person harmed was the defendant, e.g. gambling offenses, prostitution, non-violent drug offenses and drug-dealing, etc.
