Usually it takes up to 3 weeks to receive the notice. If approve, she can stay. If not she has to leave immediately.

IF an employer is filing it for you, you just provide the information. Otherwise you do it yourself.

You have to apply for adjustment of status. The priority date is not current for spouse of GC holder.

H4 dependent visa moves with H1B primary visa. You cannot stay longer than H1B holder.
