About Concettina
Biography
Tina Barile received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 2009 and Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2012. Ms. Barile clerked for the Abood Law Firm all throughout law school working primarily on family law and domestic relations cases. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in October, 2013, and had the honor of being sworn in by both of her uncles, attorneys F. Joseph Abood and Andrew P. Abood.
Pursuing a career in law was a natural decision for Ms. Barile. She is the first of the third generation of Abood attorneys. Her grandfather, the late Fredric S. Abood, started the firm and seven out of his ten children became attorneys.
Continuing her family’s legacy means more than the practice of law, it also includes participation within the Greater Lansing community. Currently, Ms. Barile volunteers with Ele’s Place, New World Flood, and the City of East Lansing. She is an active member of the Cooley Alumni Association, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Junior League of Lansing, Michigan Bar Association, American Bar Association (ABA), and the Family Law section of the ABA.
Over the last four years, Ms. Barile has gained extensive knowledge in family law and domestic relations cases. She has authored a multitude of motions, briefs and judgments effectively assisting the successful settlement of divorce cases involving disputes over custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, and property settlement.
