Ned J. Tonner

I first contacted and met with Attorney Tonner in 2010 when I suddenly found myself in need of a lawyer. He was referred to me by another attorney because that attorney did not practice in Jasper County. What a great referral. Ned took on a lot of information, drafted a game plan, was clear in ter...ms of what cost, time and emotional needs would be and was sure to keep me updated at each turn and this was just in the "getting to know you" phase. More importantly, once I retained Ned as my attorney, the energy level and attention to detail only ramped up to full throttle. Ned's Legal Secretary and Office Manager Connie partners very well with Ned and makes certain that all details of the case from proper filings, depositions, evidence and managing the court calendar to providing a friendly ear and support when there is no activity or there is a reversal. Ned represented me so well in my case in 2010 that in 2017 I had no second choice for an attorney to resolve a custody issue. Ned was very up front with me about costs, legal expectations, what it may take to win and how to prepare in the interim (we spoke in 2016 to prepare for action in 2017). At no time did I ever feel "abandoned" or "unable to receive a return call" like so many people complain about with their attorneys. I received call backs within a day at most, within an hour more than often, emails with strategy, advice and his needs to successfully prosecute my case along the way and fair and clear ideas of how much his services would cost and advance notice of upcoming invoices so we could stay current with each other. More importantly, Ned and Connie treated my daughter, wife and I like family and respected clients. They understood that our case was terribly important to us and represented us to our great satisfaction. Knowing that costs are always an issue, Ned and Connie were more than fair in cost for services and clear and up front about billing issues early on so there was always time to work out any financial issues. Most importantly, they heard out my daughter and I. They heard our worries and needs and worked their hardest to get us help because they believed in us and our case. When we felt lousy because things had stalled or not gone well, they heard us out and helped us keep our eyes on our long term goals. I could not have found a better attorney or a stronger advocate for my daughter and I. The team at Tonner Law continues to represent me to this day.

Out of the three lawyers I met with, I knew within minutes of meeting Ned Tonner, he was the lawyer for me. Not only is he very professional, organized, realistic, but he is extremely knowledgeable.
