I had gotten myself into a bad situation with the law in Indiana and I was an Illinois resident. I wasn’t sure who to even call and I called around looking for a lawyer to help me and Codey is the only one who assured me that he could handle my case with ease. He handled my case with confidence, I wa...s looking at 9 months county time and he got me probation. He never rescheduled, was never late, and told me the truth about everything. He explained things to me in ways I could understand sometimes legal paperwork can be very confusing. He is very pleasant to deal with too, something about him just makes you feel comfortable, I just knew I was in good hands. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a criminal defense lawyer.

I'm not sure as to why the people above have written a terrible review of this attorney? But I will say from personal experience he is outstanding! I have been in quite a few criminal cases in the past and would have been blessed to have had this attorney appointed as a public defender. And as a publ...ic defender they receive the stereotype of not doing much of anything for the client. This is not true for Mr Spear! He did an amazing job for little pay! I wish they had more attorneys in the justice system that did as much as he did! He has went above and beyond his title! If there is calls and emails or any type of communication not being responded to it is more than likely because he has a long list of other clients and not because of anything negative on his end and for certain not intentionally. It takes a lot of schooling and a lot of work to get to where he is today! Thank you Mr Spear!
