Cuzzolina Orders LA County Sheriff to execute half a million levy

The Debtor was surprised when the Sheriff served the writ and began to take inventory and possession of the massive 10 acre business complex. Cuzzolina states “I don’t why they were upset, they avoided ... my clients requests for payment for months, and did nothing even after we filed and served the lawsuit.” At a court hearing days before, Cuzzolina said “I will represent to the court and counsel that the LA Sheriff called me yesterday stating they were attempting to serve the levy but needed to abort and reschedule to arrange to have more deputies on the levy because of the size of the business.” Counsel for the debtor complained they were trying to get the debtor’s answer on file at the time of the levy and the Creditor was collecting way more than the original debt. "The levies came days after the lawsuit was filed. By statute, my client is entitled to secure the debt, the interest, and all of their costs and attorney fees before judgment is entered,” said Cuzzolina. The debtor needed the Sheriff’s levy released to reopen for business and was eager to negotiate terms. Cuzzolina arranged the settlement; “bring cash to my office and pay your bill and I will call off the sheriff.” Cuzzolina released the LA Sheriff’s levy less than 72 hours later.
