John William Collins

John has been married to his wife, Nicole, for 20 years; they have 3 children together, ages 15, 11 and 7. Nicole is employed as a chemistry teacher with the Warrick County School Corporation. Though John grew up in the Evansville area, he and his family currently live in Jasper, Indiana, where they have resided for the last 13 years. John and his family attend Redemption Christian Church, in Jasper.

The practice of law and John's family consumes most of John's time, but he does still make time for community involvement and a few hobbies. John is a member of the Jasper Kiwanis Club, and is a past President of that club. John is also a member of the Jasper Rifle & Gun Club. John has also previously served as an assistant coach for teams with Jasper Youth Baseball. John owns a motorcycle and enjoys motorcycle riding.

Prior to joining the law firm of Ziemer, Stayman, Weitzel & Shoulders, LLP, as a partner, John practiced law in Jasper, Indiana, for nearly 10 years at a satellite office of an Indianapolis-based law firm. While John now practices law primarily in Evansville, he continues to see and meet with clients all over Southern Indiana, including in Jasper and nearby towns and counties. John represents clients ranging from corporate trustees to individuals from all walks of life. John is licensed to practice law in both Indiana and Illinois.
