Mr. Mudd was hired on by client in District Court regarding a felony charge that she unlawfully kept property she was supposed to return. After reading the citation, Mr. Mudd realized the allegations c ... ould not be proven and were without merit. Within five minutes of having the case, he made an oral motion to the judge to dismiss based on the false charges and lack of witness participation. The Judge agreed and dismissed all charges in the case.

Client was charged for shooting and killing his unarmed landlord after a dispute over rent. Prior to trial and Mr. Mudd getting on the case, the defendant’s bond was $100,000 FULL CASH. Mr. Mudd was ab ... le to file a bond motion and argue, despite a murder charge pending, to get the defendant out on Home Incarceration to help fight the case. A week before trial, an eye witness came forward shortly before trial and claimed client opened a window and began firing at the victim and another individual. The offer from the Commonwealth prior to trial was 20 YEARS TO SERVE. Mr. Mudd, along with friend and colleague Keith Kamenish, tried the case over the course of a week and a half. At trial, client was found Not Guilty of the Murder charge. After trial, client received a six-year sentence, at 20% parole eligibility. Mr. Mudd was also was able to convince the judge to keep client on HIP, pending sentencing.

After being on the case less than 2 weeks, Mr. Mudd was able to convince the prosecutor of client's limited involvement and all charges were subsequently dismissed.
