The Ohio Court of Claims found that Mr. Young was validly imprisoned by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction for an additional 661 days past his five-year sentence pursuant to a faciall ... y valid sentencing order. On appeal, however, the Tenth District Court of Appeals found that the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction had no authority to disregard the plain language of the sentencing entries, which clearly stated five-years. The Tenth District Court of Appeals reversed the Ohio Court of Claims decision and remanded it back to the Court of Claims for further proceedings.
