My client was facing two serious charges: Ct.1 - Felony Home Invasion 3rd Degree (max 5 years) Ct.2 - High Misdemeanor Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle (max 2 years) I had a few bits of evidence that ... showed the alleged victim was probably lying about what happened, so I decided to run the preliminary examination. During cross-examination, the alleged victim made numerous contradictory statements before finally admitting that he "may have" given my client permission to use his car. Both charges were immediately dismissed at the conclusion of the preliminary examination.

This client was cited for two misdemeanors: “Operating While Under 21 with Any BAC” and “Unlawful Use of License Plate.” Both of these charges have a maximum of 93 days in jail. I managed to get both m ... isdemeanors dropped in exchange for my client accepting two civil infractions for Speeding and Expired Plates. This kept any criminal convictions off my client’s record while also keeping him off any possible probation. In the end, he only had to pay total costs and fees of around $450.
