Turnpike when a large sheet of ice flew off the top of passi ... ng truck. The client’s pickup truck was struck by the ice, which shattered and penetrated his front windshield and struck him on his shoulder. The client, who was the plaintiff, suffered severe injuries to his neck, head and shoulder as well as post-traumatic stress disorder. His shoulder injury eventually required surgery and he continues to suffer from carpal-tunnel syndrome. Mr. Johnston successfully negotiated a settlement in the amount of $125,000.00 with the defendants.
