Successfully defended against child support modification suit brought by mother who lives in Georgia against father who lives in Florida. The parties' divorce settlement agreement was filed and execut ... ed in Florida. Subsequently, mother and child moved to Georgia. The parties reached a modification agreement when mother and child moved to Georgia. Thereafter, mother brought suit against father in Georgia to increase his child support obligation and to domesticate the Florida support order in Georgia. Child is a special needs child and father was already paying the lion's share of his medical expenses. I filed a Motion to Dismiss, and after oral arguments were heard, the Judge dismissed mother's case against my client.
