I am the opposing party on a case regarding child custody and parenting time. My former wife’s attorney, Ms Duerring did not want to speak to me about any issues regarding litigation before I was able to hire my own attorney. The law states when you are a self represented litigants, you are to commun...icate with the opposing counsel as your attorney would if you had an attorney. She would always say things such as I’m not going to debate with you about stuff and I’m not going to argue with you. Also saying things such as I am not your attorney. I am the opposing parties s attorney. I contacted her and left her several emails asking her certain things so that my former wife and I could be able to come to an agreement and she barely got back to me with any information to help litigate the situation.
