Mr. Carter represented the occupants of a vehicle involed in a automobile collision with a police car and brought suit against the officer driving the patrol car and the City of Statesboro. The trial ... court dismissed the case on the grounds that the City and the officer were immune from suit. Mr. Carter appealed the case to the Georgia Court of Appeals which reversed the trial court's ruling as to the City of Statesboro holding that the City was not entitled to sovereign immunity for the officers negligence.
