My judge said I had to buy a bond that was for double the amount of $ that I am inheriting in my probate case. Is this normal??

Information is not clear, but it appears that you do not have a lawyer. That is a greater concern than the amount of bond. Suggest you hire one.

This can be done with a last will and testament. But you will need to pay a lawyer to do it. This is not one for a do it yourself project.

Keep looking. Try the avvo find a lawyer tool. You may be able to get someone who wants less than that to take the case.
