Cross appeals from a Workers' Compensation Appeal Board decision affirming the WCJ's award of specific loss benefits but reversing the denial of the employer's petition for offset related to receipt of ... social security retirement benefits. Claimant fell on ice on the employer's premises. The employer accepted responsibility for injuries to claimant's left shoulder, low back and coccyx. After claimant's injuries progressed he filed a petition to review the nature of injury to include RSD of the left upper extremity and loss of use of the left hand. The employer filed a petition seeking an offset related to claimant's receipt of social security retirement benefits. The WCJ granted claimant's petition and denied employer's petition. The Workers' Compensation Appeal Board affirmed the granting of claimant's petition but reversed the WCJ's decision regarding the offset.
