Asset forfeiture litigation, where Pinal County sought millions from my client, even seizing his retirement accounts and selling off all his property. After hard-fought litigation, the Court of Appeal ... s agreed that the County provided our client with insufficient notice. This case changed the law in Arizona. When the State had actual notice that the ONLY notice it sent to the property owner was returned to the State and marked "unclaimed", the State could not move forward with forfeiting the owner's property. This was a success for personal property rights in the State of Arizona!
