After negotiations with the prosecuting agency, Kian was able to get the hit and run reduced to a charge of driving without a license -- a crime with much lower consequences and a shorter sentence of probation. Moreover, now the client does not face the same potential immigration consequences as she would have if she had been convicted of the hit and run.

After nearly 40 pages of motion work and over an hour of oral argumentation in open court, Kian was able to get the misdemeanor reduced to an infraction, resulting in nothing more for the client than a fine, and no roadblocks to a path to full citizenship.
