My client broke up with his girlfriend and she immediately wanted revenge. She called the police and told them my client had just tried to choke her and kill her with a knife (a complete fabrication). ... The police came, investigated the scene, arrested my client, and threw him in jail for the night. The prosecutor issued Felony charges shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, my clients issues were just getting started. He would be called into court, admonished by the judge, and treated like a criminal for months. I believed my client, so I scoured over the evidence and eventually found a small detail in one of the body cam videos that definitively proved the ex-girlfriend was lying about everything.
